Junior Engineer - Quality

Overview

Junior Engineer - Quality in Chennai supporting supplier and product quality processes across manufacturing and new product launches.

What you'll do

• Define process parameters and criteria with Engineering to ensure supplier process capability meets product requirements.
• Support supplier approval by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety, and Environmental risks.
• Follow up on supplier quality issues for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate on process improvement and value enhancement.
• Promote continuous improvement techniques such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, MSA, and PFMEA.
• Provide inspection documentation, support inspection/test status requirements, and facilitate escalation of unresolved issues.

What you'll need

• B.E / B.Tech in ECE / EEE / IC / Mechanical / Mechatronics.
• 0–2 years of experience in APQP, PPAP, and FMEA in manufacturing setups.
• Preferably experience in the EMS industry (explicitly stated as preference).
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
• Knowledge of quality and business systems.
• TS16949 knowledge.
• Understanding/interpretation of engineering drawings.
