Junior Engineer- Quality

Overview

Junior Engineer-Quality (Assistant Engineer-Quality) is responsible for setting up and continuously improving in-process quality systems and carrying out quality inspections for aerospace hardware.

What you'll do

• Establish and improve in-process quality systems aligned to AS 9100 / ISO 9001 and internal GE QMS norms.
• Own quality deliverables, including analysis and certifying aviation hardware per internal inspection requirements.
• Perform inspections according to internal QMS procedural requirements.
• Develop and implement AS 9100 procedures and support end-to-end production quality flow-downs.
• Drive continual improvement via audit programs, non-conformance assessment, and corrective actions using root cause analysis.
• Support dimensional inspection, customer complaint analysis, and stock verification when required.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in production quality.
• Knowledge of AS 9100 and AMS, and S1000 / S1002 standards.
• Knowledge of basic Lean and Six Sigma methodology.
• Working knowledge of AS 9100 and internal requirements.
• Awareness of AS9100, FAI, NC, RCCA, and QMS requirements.
• Knowledge of quality tools for process yield improvement (e.g., RCA, KAIZENS, 7 QC tools, defect analysis).

• Strong working knowledge of GD&T and drawings/specifications interpretation.
