Supplier Quality Assurance - Engineer

Overview

Supplier Quality Assurance - Engineer role focused on leading proactive supplier quality work and supporting sourcing, validation, and development activities for NPD/EPD and related projects.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage proactive quality work with suppliers for handshake and NPD/EPD projects.
• Secure that suppliers understand documents and technical requirements.
• Evaluate supplier technical capability and support suppliers through sample production technical questions.
• Support the factory in approval process for parts.
• Work on alternate supply chain, including identifying dual sources and implementation activity.
• Drive Q PIM cases and support change management and development projects.
• Advise R&D on cost-effective design for manufacturing in NPD/EPD projects.

What you'll need

• Read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Have knowledge of production concepts and processes including casting, machining, fabrication, electrical panels, and motors.
• Have 3 to 4 years of experience in sourcing & development.
• Be proactive in anticipating problems.
• Have good communication and analytical skills.
• Be a team player and drive change.

• Direct reporting to Factory Sourcing Manager.
• Dotted reporting to Decanter Sourcing Manager.
