Junior Piping Designer

Overview

Junior Piping Designer responsible for developing accurate 3D piping models and P&IDs for multidisciplinary industrial, power, minerals/metals, and nuclear projects using Autodesk Plant 3D.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain P&IDs based on process inputs.
• Create 3D piping models, layouts, and related engineering deliverables in Autodesk Plant 3D.
• Route piping considering process flow, equipment access, maintenance, construction feasibility, safety, and future expansion.
• Generate isometrics, fabrication drawings, BOMs, tie-in details, and equipment/layout drawings.
• Participate in 30%, 60%, and 90% model reviews using Navisworks (or similar tools).
• Resolve design clashes and coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams.

What you'll need

• 1–3 years of piping design and 3D plant modeling experience.
• Degree/Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Plant 3D and the P&ID module.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, fittings, valves, pipe specs, and supports.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, structural layouts, and vendor drawings.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for clash detection/model review.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver within schedule.
