Overview

Junior Software Engineer role with accounting experience, focused on building and supporting software for financial processes in a fintech environment.

What you'll do

• Assist with the design, development, and installation of software solutions.
• Write code, develop features, and document functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
• Use accounting background to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Provide support and consulting on software system usage while ensuring compliance with project plans and industry standards.

What you'll need

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Solid understanding of financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Familiarity with database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with backend API development.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
