Large Loss Property Desk Adjuster -Remote

Overview

Large Loss Property Desk Adjuster (Senior Consultant II) who investigates and confirms the facts of loss for homeowners claims, determines coverage and damages, and adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Works independently, prioritizing own responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Handle investigation of all aspects of homeowners first party claims (coverage, damages and subrogation) with discretion and independence within an increased level of authority.
• Apply increased experience or rotate into a specialty position (coverage, investigation specialist, litigation, large loss, water mitigation, desk review).
• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partner with assigned representatives from those areas to achieve the best outcome.
• Recognize and identify key components of residential construction and repair, including structural integrity and home systems.
• Identify customer needs and work to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills.
• Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle it.
• Demonstrate broad understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department.

What you'll need

• 2 or more years of experience.

Nice to have

• Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License.

Details

• Remote role; employees eligible to work from home receive equipment and a monthly connectivity reimbursement.
• Requires a dedicated, private workspace and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
• Works MST/PST hours.
• No supervisory duties.
• Base compensation (Inside Desk Adjuster Sr Cons II, Non-Exempt): $41.49 - $50.77 per hour.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Eligible for a $1,000 licensing sign-on bonus if holding applicable active licenses (current or former Allstate employees are not eligible); active insurance license holders must terminate existing appointments before onboarding.
