Overview
Lead Business Analyst for a contract role in India, working remotely. You’ll drive business process improvement and deliver BI dashboard requirements for a client procurement function.
What you'll do
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives for the client procurement function.
- Work with procurement, category, finance, IT, and data stakeholders to gather and define processes and requirements.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications for a Power BI dashboard.
- Support the Project Manager with scope management, effort estimation inputs, and milestone tracking.
- Track, report, and resolve requirements issues using the RAID Log and Decision Log.
- Communicate plan, status, risks, and issues across governance forums.
- Coordinate UAT, prepare training materials, and provide hypercare support during deployments.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- At least 1 year experience in a lead role.
- Proven requirements elicitation and delivery of BRDs, functional specifications, and BI data mapping documents.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese.
- Experience with Power BI requirements definition, dashboard design, data model review, and UAT facilitation.
- Strong Power BI knowledge including data modeling (star schema), DAX measures, RLS, incremental refresh, and report design.
Nice to have
- Experience with spend analysis, spend classification/categorization, and procurement analytics domains.
- Experience with ERP/P2P procurement data sources such as SAP MM, SAP Ariba, Coupa, or Oracle Procurement.
- Understanding of procurement data structures like purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Familiarity with spend classification frameworks such as UNSPSC, eClass, or custom taxonomies.
