Lead Data Analyst

Overview

Lead data analytics for Target’s IT Data Platform Analytics team, turning technology data into analytical products, predictive insights, AI-enabled solutions, and decision support for technology leaders.

What you'll do

• Translate ambiguous technology problems into analytical questions, measurement frameworks, models, and decision capabilities.
• Design and deliver analytical solutions, predictive insights, risk models, and reusable capabilities.
• Develop and monitor frameworks such as change risk scores, predictive alerts, and technology health signals.
• Connect signals across software delivery, infrastructure, incidents, reliability, security, and related technology domains.
• Evaluate AI workflows using quality, reliability, business-impact, and responsible-use measures.
• Present analytical results and use data storytelling to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor analysts, share knowledge, and promote responsible AI and analytical standards.

What you'll need

• 8–12 years of overall experience and 6–8 years of relevant experience.
• B.Tech/B.E. or a master’s degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification.
• Expertise in SQL, SQL optimization, data warehousing, and DW/BI concepts.
• Experience with large, complex datasets, multiple data sources, and structured and unstructured data environments.
• Hands-on experience with Python, R, or other open-source analytical languages.
• Knowledge of regression, time-series models, classification, forecasting, and anomaly detection.
• Experience with LLMs, RAG, structured outputs, embeddings, or related AI techniques.

Nice to have

• Experience with Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience with GCP BigQuery, Spark, Airflow, or similar data tools.
• Git source code management and agile experience.
