Lead Engineer Automation Quality

Overview

Lead automation quality engineering for complex applications through scalable test frameworks, technical guidance, and continuous testing. The role combines hands-on automation development with team mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks and strategies.
• Develop API and UI automation using Java, Karate, Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical direction to the team.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Define automation metrics and monitor coverage, reliability, and effectiveness.
• Create technical documentation and deliver automation training.
• Perform troubleshooting and manual or exploratory testing when needed.

What you'll need

• 7–10 years of software testing or quality engineering experience.
• 4–5 years of hands-on automation testing experience or equivalent training.
• Strong hands-on programming skills in Java and Core Java concepts.
• Experience with Karate, Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
• Experience integrating automated tests into delivery pipelines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

Nice to have

• Performance testing experience with JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience or interest in AI-driven testing.
