Overview
Lead Engineer for Controls Engineering, responsible for engineering control panels and drawings for gas/steam turbine and motor-driven projects across their lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Apply engineering concepts across multiple gas-steam turbine and motor-driven projects using control products and engineering drawings.
- Perform basic and detailed engineering of control panels for turbine/compressor and generator applications.
- Identify project risks and create mitigation plans.
- Design unit control panels per customer specs, agreed deviations, country regulations, and internal design guidelines.
- Select bill of material (BOM) for PLC and other control panel components and prepare purchase specifications.
- Create and deliver engineering drawings (e.g., control panel layout, network architecture, I/O list, functional descriptions, wiring diagrams) as required.
- Support software validation and FAT at the panel manufacturer workshop.
What you'll need
- BE/B.Tech or ME/MTech in one of: Instrumentation & Controls, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of work experience in control systems design and operation/maintenance in the Power/Oil & gas industry.
- Experience in control panel design and exposure to PLC/DCS and turbomachinery equipment (gas turbine/steam turbine/compressors/generators).
- International/domestic travel for KOM (Kick Off Meetings), design reviews, HAZOP, and FAT as required.
- Good communication skills with fluency in English.
