Lead Engineer, Data Engineering

Overview

Lead Engineer, Data Engineering responsible for data engineering and reporting, including ETL, validation, reconciliation, migration, and performance tuning.

What you'll do

• Build and manage data pipelines using ETL and data extraction.
• Validate, reconcile, and migrate historical data.
• Develop and maintain reporting, analytics, and dashboards.
• Optimize queries and tune performance.
• Manage data archiving, application retirement, and infrastructure readiness.
• Lead troubleshooting, security patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Coordinate stakeholders and vendors and lead people.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, big data architecture, software development, or data warehousing.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data engineering, software engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with SQL, query optimization, and data validation.
• Experience with core data engineering activities including data modeling and database analysis.
• Experience with analytics/reporting and dashboarding.
• Hands-on work with application/data tools including SQL Server or equivalent.
• People leadership experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Certification in data engineering or cloud computing architecture (e.g., Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional).
