Overview
Lead Engineer - Digital Design will provide technical leadership to define and execute digital design technology strategy, including roadmap planning and capability development.
What you'll do
- Lead digital design solution development and deployment across key NPI/NTI programs.
- Drive AI/ML capability development for engineering applications including SciML, Generative AI, and Reduced Order Modeling.
- Define and execute the long-term digital design technology roadmap with key stakeholders.
- Develop technical proposals with product engineering and digital engineering teams to accelerate adoption.
- Scout emerging AI/ML technologies for physics-based engineering applications and facilitate adoption.
- Lead DFSS methodology implementation for NPI program initiatives and support Green Belt reviews.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of relevant experience with a Masters degree or 5+ years with a PhD.
- Demonstrated experience in Modeling & Simulation along with strong AI/ML model development and deployment.
- Expertise in physics-based modeling and multiphysics simulation tools including ANSYS and ABAQUS.
- Experience building integrated optimization and simulation-driven design workflows using platforms like modeFRONTIER or iSight.
- Hands-on experience with ML, Deep Learning, and AI-driven engineering solutions such as SciML, Digital Twins, and surrogate models.
- Experience building Agentic AI, LLM, and RAG-based solutions using Azure AI/Azure OpenAI and LangChain/LangGraph.
- Proven technical leadership, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement using Lean, Agile, and DFSS methodologies.
