Job description
Overview
Lead Engineer responsible for building and maintaining Java/Python microservices and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain Java/Python-based applications and microservices.
- Build and support cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Develop REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
- Design and implement Elasticsearch/OpenSearch solutions.
- Build and optimize PySpark/Glue ETL jobs.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on EKS and support production.
What you'll need
- Strong programming experience in Java and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with PySpark and AWS Glue for data processing.
- Knowledge of AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and SSM.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, including Bool Queries and document indexing/upserts.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and PyKibana; knowledge of Kibana is stated.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development practices.
- BA/BS degree and 10-13 years’ relevant experience (or equivalent education/experience).
