Lead Engineer, VP

Overview

Join as a Software Engineer at vice president level, designing, producing, testing and implementing working software across the lifecycle of the system, within a permanent feature team.

What you'll do

• Develop knowledge of aspects of the associated platform across business, applications, data and infrastructure.
• Liaise with principal engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and supports business objectives.
• Apply Agile methods to the development of software on the backlog.
• Produce resilient and long-lived software and act flexibly to cope with future needs.
• Deliver intentional architecture and formulate emergent design through innovative ideas, experimentation and prototyping.
• Design and develop software with a focus on automation of build, test and deployment activities, using executable patterns.

What you'll need

• Strong full stack experience in software design and implementation, including exploiting programming languages to solve complex problems.
• Capability in complex requirements analysis, capture and validation against and with business and systems requirements.
• At least 10 years of expertise in Java, including Multithreading and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud technologies.
• Strong experience in Microservices architecture.
• Sound collaboration skills, with the ability to work with business teams to produce pragmatic solutions that work for the business.
• Experience of information security policies and practices within the financial sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simple way.

Nice to have

• eTrading experience.
