Lead Engineer, Yield Analysis

Overview

Lead Engineer, Yield Analysis Module Lead responsible for identifying and quantifying key yield limiters in assigned fab modules and driving data-driven yield improvements.

What you'll do

• Lead investigations to determine root causes of yield excursions.
• Track probe yield performance and trends and explain gaps between target and actual yields.
• Perform advanced data analysis to quantify yield issues and generate yield paretos.
• Apply statistical and data-mining techniques to identify root causes of yield issues.
• Collaborate with PI, Probe, PE, EFA, and PFA teams to correlate electrical signals, probe signatures, and physical findings.
• Initiate data mining/correlation studies and request PFA to identify root causes.
• Quantify and track issue hit rate, line impact, and progress toward program goals.

What you'll need

• Experience leading module-based data analysis and part type ownership analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical and data-mining techniques for root-cause identification.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear technical direction for improvement.
• Semiconductor process, defect, and metrology knowledge.
• Ability to co-develop inline detection and define parametric/probe bins for new fail modes.
• Capability to develop/automate data extraction via query languages and scripting.
