Overview
Lead – Full Stack Web Applications is a technical leadership role focused on designing and delivering modern, secure, scalable web platforms. You will own architecture, drive engineering standards, and mentor engineers while working with Product, UX, Data/Analytics, and DevOps/SRE.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end web application solution design and implementation using Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (Django/DRF).
- Define system boundaries, API contracts, data models, and non-functional requirements (availability, latency, scalability, resilience, security).
- Design and build backend services including authentication/authorisation, business logic, data access, and third-party integrations.
- Develop responsive, high-performance front ends using React/Next.js, including UI patterns, Redux state management, and component-driven development.
- Design and integrate RESTful APIs with versioning, backward compatibility, and robust error handling.
- Drive performance optimization, apply secure-by-design practices, and improve reliability via observability and runbooks.
- Lead CI/CD automation and support cloud-native deployments on Azure and/or AWS.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience with delivery ownership.
- 2+ years in a technical leadership role mentoring engineers and driving engineering standards.
- Expert proficiency in Java and Spring Boot; JavaScript and HTML/CSS expertise.
- Strong skills in RESTful API design and Redux.
- Advanced experience with React.js/Next.js and strong TypeScript.
- Strong expertise with Git/version control and Kubernetes; strong Docker and Jenkins CI/CD.
- Proven experience building responsive, accessible applications meeting WCAG 2.1 standards.
