Lead II, Software Engineering - Development

Overview

Lead II software engineering role focused on software verification, validation, certification, and compliance for safety-critical embedded systems. Works on mainframe modernization by designing, building, and maintaining high-volume business logic and refactoring legacy code for cloud/mobile interaction.

What you'll do

• Execute software verification and validation activities per DO-178C standards.
• Perform requirements-based testing and verification.
• Review and validate high-level and low-level requirements (HLRs, LLRs).
• Maintain end-to-end traceability across requirements, design, implementation, and verification artifacts.
• Conduct defect analysis, root cause investigation, and debugging.
• Perform static analysis, code reviews, and structural coverage assessments.
• Create and maintain certification evidence and compliance documentation.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, verification, validation, or safety certification.
• Strong expertise in DO-178C certification, compliance, and V&V.
• Experience with requirements traceability and audit support.
• Hands-on embedded software development using C/Embedded C.
• Proficiency with LDRA, Polarion, DOORS, Git, Jira, Linux, and Python.
• Experience leading certification activities and safety-critical software projects.
