Overview
Lead Product Designer (Lead Individual Contributor) for the Builder pod, shaping HighLevel’s creator tools and editing/publishing experiences through exceptional design craft and systems thinking.
What you'll do
- Lead design strategy and execution for Builder pod experiences from discovery through delivery.
- Translate customer needs, business goals, product strategy, and technical constraints into experience direction for creator workflows.
- Partner with product and engineering leaders to define product vision, prioritize opportunities, and align teams around high-quality outcomes.
- Design and refine complex editing experiences including canvases, controls, templates, responsive behaviors, previews, publishing states, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Influence leadership decisions using customer empathy, data synthesis, product judgment, storytelling, and design rationale.
- Drive design quality reviews and set standards for usability, accessibility, interaction quality, visual consistency, and design system alignment.
- Mentor designers and raise quality across multiple teams via critique and shared patterns.
What you'll need
- 7+ years of relevant product design experience.
- 2+ years in a leadership, mentorship, or design direction capacity.
- Mandatory: experience using AI-powered tools for exploration, prototyping, critique, synthesis, or workflow acceleration.
- Proven ability leading product design across the full lifecycle from research and IA to usability testing.
- Exceptional visual and interaction design craft with care for hierarchy, layout, typography, spacing, motion, usability, and accessibility.
- Experience designing visual creation workflows (e.g., drag-and-drop editing, templates, previews, publishing flows, versioning).
- Have an exceptionally strong portfolio; applications without portfolios will not be considered.
