Overview
Lead Service Engineer (Field Service Engineer II) delivering service for analytical and scientific instruments across customer sites. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex equipment and provide customer support.
What you'll do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair sophisticated analytical and scientific instruments.
- Perform routine/preventive maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs on XRF/OES/Process (CBA) analyzers.
- Support analyzer installation, commissioning, and field troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Provide remote support to clients as needed.
- Deliver equipment demonstrations to educate customers on safe and effective use.
- Provide detailed service reports after service visits and document service activities.
- Travel as directed to provide customer service.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical field.
- Either an advanced degree (no prior experience required) or a bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of hands-on technical experience.
- Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including component-level diagnosis.
- Interpersonal communication skills with customer focus and ability to handle challenging situations.
- Proficiency in English required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software.

- Work schedule/environment includes laboratory setting, loud noises (equipment/machinery), and PPE use (e.g., safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs).
