Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer (Level 5) for hybrid work in Hyderabad, responsible for engineering delivery, application health, and technical custodianship. You will also mentor engineers and act as a subject matter expert across key technologies and the domain.

What you'll do

• Engineer stable, scalable, performant, accessible, testable, and secure software solutions.
• Lead technical development at product, team, or domain level while taking ownership of delivery and application health.
• Participate in code reviews and team ceremonies, driving prioritisation, escalation, and achievable goals.
• Promote reuse and automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Own technical custodianship, including governance activities and incident root-cause analysis.
• Apply DevOps principles and quality assurance approaches, using tools for automation and testing.
• Mentor and support junior engineers; share knowledge as an SME.

What you'll need

• 12–15 years of experience.
• Engineer software using endorsed technologies and common build patterns to minimise technical debt.
• Follow group policies and frameworks for build and release.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code independently.
• Use tools to support automation, performance, regression testing, and debugging.
• Demonstrate deep system design understanding as a subject matter expert in key technologies/domains.
• Apply traditional and agile best practices to plan, prioritise, and deliver.
