Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer role for the Policy Decisions engineering team in Noida, combining hands-on coding with technical leadership across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.

What you'll do

• Lead technical delivery for Policy Decisions capabilities from discovery and solution design through stabilization.
• Translate product and business requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.
• Design and develop services, APIs, integrations, and user experiences using C#/.NET, Web APIs, React, SQL, and Azure.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools to prototype, accelerate development, investigate defects, and improve workflows.
• Establish patterns for safe AI-assisted development including code review, testing, security, observability, and documentation.
• Lead design and technical reviews, code reviews, and solution trade-off decisions.
• Support CI/CD, cloud deployment, environment management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to planning, estimation, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

What you'll need

• 8+ years experience leading technical delivery of complex software capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with C#/.NET and Web API development.
• Experience building modern web applications with React or a comparable front-end framework.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills for complex business data and troubleshooting.
• Experience designing and deploying applications and services in Azure or a comparable cloud environment.
• Practical experience using AI development tools such as Replit and Claude to build, test, troubleshoot, and deploy applications.
• Judgment to review, test, secure, and improve AI-generated code and content before production/customer environments.
