Overview
Lead the Kubernetes Observability team building integrations, backend services, UI dashboards, and AI-driven SRE agents for Kubernetes environments.
What you'll do
- Manage, coach, and mentor Go and Python engineers.
- Guide architecture for Kubernetes integrations and OpenTelemetry conventions.
- Lead delivery across instrumentation agents, Helm charts, backend services, and UI components.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams.
- Implement DevOps practices, support rotations, and incident response.
- Encourage contributions to open-source projects.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years directly managing and scaling engineering teams.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems and high-cardinality data processing.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes and complex multi-cloud container environments.
- Hands-on experience with Go and/or Python, Linux systems, and API development.
- Experience handling customer incidents and mitigating production risks.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI workflows, LLM orchestration, or MCP servers.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, eBPF, or similar frameworks.
- Experience developing Helm charts or Kubernetes Operators.
- Contributions to CNCF or open-source infrastructure projects.
