Lead Software Engineer - Forward Deployed Engineering, ITC

Overview

Lead technical strategy, architecture, and delivery for demand planning and pricing platforms. Guide engineers and build scalable backend, data, cloud, and AI-enabled capabilities.

What you'll do

• Drive technical roadmaps and architectural decisions for demand planning and pricing.
• Design scalable backend systems and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build RESTful APIs and event-driven services with messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Design data pipelines, system integrations, and ontology-based decision systems.
• Lead cloud deployments, CI/CD, observability, and DevOps practices.
• Mentor engineers and align business, product, and engineering stakeholders.
• Apply AI-assisted development and identify AI/GenAI workflow opportunities.

What you'll need

• 8–12 years of experience building scalable backend systems.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Expertise in full-stack development, systems architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, APIs, microservices, databases, and data modelling.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Docker or Kubernetes, and DevOps.
• Ability to mentor teams, drive technical roadmaps, and manage stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, or equivalent data platforms.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with React or Angular.
