Lead Software Engineer (Java)

Overview

Lead Software Engineer (Java) who delivers enterprise solutions, leads technical tasks across the implementation lifecycle, and partners with clients on technical design and delivery.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and implement enterprise-grade software aligned with customer and platform requirements.
• Develop testable, efficient code across application and integration layers using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure solution quality through testing, peer reviews, and adherence to coding standards.
• Lead tasks from requirements gathering through deployment and troubleshoot implementation issues.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, translating business objectives into technical designs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior developers or consultants.
• Provide post-implementation support, monitoring production performance for uptime and data integrity.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Customer Engineer (preferably SaaS or banking implementations).
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle, integration patterns, and modern API architectures.
• Hands-on delivery experience using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Apache Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience managing client-facing technical discussions, requirements, and expectations.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum, TDD/BDD).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed systems in production.
