Overview
Lead complex software engineering initiatives and develop scalable technology solutions, distributed systems, analytics architectures, and data pipelines.
What you'll do
- Lead complex technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software projects.
- Review large-scale technology solutions against business and technical objectives.
- Define engineering standards, best practices, and reference architectures.
- Collaborate with technical experts and external industry groups to resolve complex issues.
- Lead projects and teams while mentoring engineers.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience designing distributed systems with scalability, fault tolerance, backpressure handling, and data consistency trade-offs.
- Experience building streaming and batch data pipelines with Apache Beam, Flink, or Spark.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience for data pipelines and microservices.
- Experience building microservices with Spring Boot and well-defined APIs.
- Experience with reliability, observability, monitoring, alerting, and production incident management.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, design review, and cross-team influence experience.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch architecture, index design, query optimization, and analytics use cases.
- Experience designing end-to-end analytics architectures from ingestion through visualization.
