Lead Specialty Software Engineer - Algorithmic Trading, Java

Overview

Lead specialty software engineering efforts for algorithmic/electronic trading domains, including design, development, testing, and production issue resolution.

What you'll do

• Lead complex initiatives on selected trading-related domains.
• Monitor systems to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Design, develop, test, and implement applications and system components.
• Troubleshoot coding, testing, and escalated platform issues.
• Lead a team to meet compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area.
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams, and collaborate with product, traders, and operations.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of specialty software engineering experience (or equivalent).
• Experience in electronic trading/algorithmic trading (must).
• Ability to design, implement, and optimize low-latency, high-throughput Java applications.
• Experience developing and maintaining exchange connectivity protocols (e.g., FIX, ITCH, OUCH).
• Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Solace, Aeron) and real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of low-latency optimization techniques (e.g., garbage collection tuning and efficient data structures).

• Work location options: Bangalore or Hyderabad; role requires working in the office per RTO policy.
