Overview
Lead the architecture, engineering, security, automation, governance, and support of enterprise Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services. Provide Level 3/4 escalation support, drive platform strategy and governance, lead complex technical initiatives, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and partner with Security, Infrastructure, Legal, HR, and business stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Own the design, administration, performance, capacity, security, and lifecycle management of Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services.
- Maintain platform health, availability, and scalability while leading the resolution of complex incidents and escalations.
- Implement and enhance Microsoft Purview capabilities including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Sensitivity Labels, Retention, Records Management, and eDiscovery.
- Strengthen data governance and email security controls, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate, and Azure Automation.
- Drive operational efficiency through process standardization, proactive monitoring, self-service capabilities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support Microsoft 365 Copilot governance, data readiness, secure adoption, use-case enablement, and ongoing optimization.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure responsible and effective adoption of AI-powered productivity solutions.
- Lead cross-functional projects, architecture reviews, root-cause analysis, platform improvements, and vendor engagements.
- Establish engineering standards, maintain technical documentation, and mentor engineers across the organization.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to business, infrastructure, and security stakeholders.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of enterprise IT engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 engineering or administration experience.
- Advanced expertise with Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Microsoft Purview experience including DLP, Information Protection, Retention, Records Management, or eDiscovery.
- Strong PowerShell automation skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph, Azure Automation, or Power Automate.
- Knowledge of SMTP routing, mail flow, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Strong incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem management experience.
- Proven ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to participate in scheduled on-call support rotations.
