Overview
Lead Technical Architect (MERN) in Bengaluru, serving as the SME for MERN and providing technical leadership to build and govern large-scale MERN platforms and digital products.
What you'll do
- Create solution architectures for systems and platforms considering time, cost, and compliance.
- Manage and mentor software teams delivering applications and systems for end users.
- Lead end-to-end architecture for large-scale MERN platforms and digital products.
- Define target-state architecture, microservices patterns, and API/event-driven standards.
- Drive decisions on scalability, security, resiliency, observability, and performance.
- Remain hands-on with architecture/coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, POCs, and critical features (~70%).
What you'll need
- 12+ years overall experience with 4+ years in Technical Architect or Lead Architect roles.
- Proven experience managing small software teams and mentoring engineers.
- Expert MERN stack knowledge: MongoDB, Mongoose, Express.js, React.js, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL.
- Hands-on experience with Azure or other public cloud platforms.
- CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices.
- Kafka (or equivalent event streaming) and deep understanding of SOLID, design patterns, TDD/BDD, and automated testing.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of API gateways (Kong or equivalent), ABAC (Symphonic or equivalent), and CMS platforms (Strapi or equivalent).
- Experience with developer portals/documentation for shared development services.
- Experience of DataBricks/Spark and familiarity with Azure Data Lake and Azure Blob storage.
