Manager, Applied AI Architects

Overview

Manager, Applied AI Architects (based in Munich) leading senior technical leaders who drive technical strategy and customer journeys from pre-sales through production adoption for OpenAI’s largest customers in the DACH region.

What you’ll do

• Lead and develop a team of Applied AI Architects.
• Define and refine the Applied AI Architecture strategy and operating model across Europe.
• Partner with Sales leadership and Account Directors to prioritize accounts and allocate technical resources.
• Own technical account plans, milestones, adoption priorities, account health, and expansion opportunities.
• Lead complex customer journeys from executive vision to use-case qualification and production adoption.
• Sponsor critical engagements and coach the team on architectures spanning models, applications, data, integration, and security.

What you’ll need

• 10+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., solutions architecture, solutions engineering, technical account leadership, AI deployment, or technical consulting).
• Have worked with large and complex enterprises.
• 4+ years of people-management experience.
• Guided enterprise organizations from technical discovery and evaluation through production adoption and measurable business impact.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills with technical and business stakeholders.
• Deep technical acumen in modern AI systems, frontier models, agentic applications, and enterprise deployment.
