Overview
Manager, Compliance will plan and conduct internal investigations into protection of intellectual property and trade secrets, along with other compliance-related matters such as fraud and policy violations.
What you'll do
- Monitor and track alleged mishandling or misuse of trade secrets and intellectual property.
- Triage incoming allegations by reviewing IT security alerts and network logs and assessing information sensitivity and risk.
- Conduct investigations with coordination across IT, Global Security, and HR/ER as directed.
- Prepare investigation plans, collect/review materials, interview witnesses, and coordinate forensic examinations of IT assets.
- Draft closing memoranda with root cause analysis and remediation and coordinate with management on remedial actions.
- Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and chain-of-custody for technical evidence and enter findings into the case management system.
- Prepare periodic reports and presentation materials for regional and global management.
What you'll need
- Minimum 8 years of experience.
- At least 4 years conducting internal investigations for a publicly traded global multinational.
- Experience with IT security, intellectual property, and trade secrets investigations.
- Knowledge of investigative techniques for misuse/misappropriation of confidential information, including trade secrets and IP.
- Documented prior experience with computer forensics, network security, data loss prevention tools, endpoint/device forensics, and security logs.
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.
- Excellent investigative, drafting, negotiating, and communications skills.
