Manager, Data Center Critical Facilities

Overview

Manage site operations and critical facilities within a data center, overseeing supervisors, professional individual contributors, projects, vendors and incident response.

What you'll do

• Manage supervisors and professional individual contributors, guiding them through well defined management precedents.
• Manage teams to work safely and effectively with high regard to human error avoidance.
• Manage personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development.
• Aid in testing, project management and resolving incidents.
• Plan, coordinate, review budgets and implement resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers.
• Provide input and guidance towards budget.
• Manage overall site capacity.
• Translate functional plans into operational processes and guide execution.
• Oversee contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, KPIs and SLAs.
• Ensure correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete.
• Take over new builds and building infrastructure.
• Write all Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOP) scripts.
• Communicate and coordinate activities and on-site staff during an incident.
• Assist with root cause analysis and incident resolution.

What you'll need

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience or equivalent work experience (8+).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
