Manager - Payroll & Compliance

Overview

Manager - Payroll & Compliance to manage end-to-end payroll, ensure timely salary processing, and handle statutory compliance and regulatory/group reporting.

What you'll do

• Manage the payroll function and ensure HR policies are adhered to.
• Coordinate with the payroll service provider to finalize salary workings.
• Calculate employee paychecks, including withholding tax and PF/PT/recovery deductions.
• Prepare bank payout files and ensure salary payments before the due date.
• Handle full and final settlement components (gratuity, leave encashment, arrears, and notice recoveries).
• Maintain MTM payroll records and perform reconciliation.
• Ensure timely payroll-related return filings and comply with regulatory reporting (e.g., TDS, PF, PT).

What you'll need

• 5-7 years of prior experience in payroll processing.
• Prior experience coordinating day-to-day with payroll service provider.
• Knowledge of TDS on salary, PF, PT, gratuity, and MLWF.
• Good understanding of payroll processes with ability to manage timely payments accurately.
• A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in commerce or other related fields in accounting.
