Manager, Software Engineering

Overview

Manage the Database Engineering and Cloud Infrastructure team, leading enterprise-scale database architecture, operations, automation, resiliency, and cost optimization across AWS and Azure.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture and operations for multi-cloud relational databases across AWS and Azure.
• Drive high-availability, auto-failover, replica scaling, and cross-region disaster recovery strategies.
• Oversee zero-downtime upgrades, schema migrations, and blue/green deployments.
• Manage Redis and Valkey in-memory datastore operations and migration initiatives.
• Enforce infrastructure-as-code practices and automated database provisioning and deployment pipelines.
• Drive FinOps, rightsizing, performance optimization, and cloud cost savings.
• Manage, mentor, and grow senior database and cloud infrastructure engineers.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software engineering or infrastructure experience.
• 3–5 years in engineering management or technical leadership focused on cloud databases.
• Hands-on enterprise experience with managed relational databases in AWS and Azure.
• Experience managing Redis clusters and Redis-to-Valkey migration strategies.
• Expertise with Terraform, OpenTofu, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with Flyway or Liquibase database migration tooling.
• Experience with automated backups, major-version upgrades, and multi-region disaster recovery.
