Mid-Market Sales Engineer

Overview

Mid-Market Sales Engineer at Datadog, helping qualify and close opportunities through technical expertise across customer and partner engagements.

What you'll do

• Partner with the sales team to communicate Datadog’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Provide technical expertise via sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting technical evaluations (POCs).
• Collaborate with the product team to support feature requests and help prioritize features.
• Deliver client onboarding support and assist when clients encounter roadblocks.
• Resolve customer concerns, escalate bug issues, and coordinate across teams.
• Think creatively about technical challenges across the pre-sales life cycle.

What you'll need

• Minimum 4+ years in Sales Engineering/Solutions Engineering.
• Experience with DevOps/SRE or Platform Engineering.
• Knowledge of DevOps monitoring or architecture tools.
• Comfort delivering technical presentations/demos to external customers or internal teams.
• Previously experienced in systems administration: Windows or Linux.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
