Sales Engineer

Overview

Menlo Security is hiring a Sales Engineer to support technical sales across the APAC region, partnering with Regional Sales Managers and channel partners. The role scopes, recommends, and demonstrates security-focused solutions and leads proof of concept engagements.

What you'll do

• Articulate solution benefits to technical and non-technical audiences and research technical requirements to scope an approach.
• Map customer business drivers to Menlo Security solutions that fit customer needs and budget.
• Lead proof of concept engagements, including deployment/configuration, user training, and resolving open technical issues.
• Use AI-assisted tools to prepare for engagements and draft technical documentation, RFP responses, and follow-up communications.
• Work with partners to build partner self-sufficiency and drive partner-led opportunities.
• Provide reporting and feedback using AI-generated call summaries and CRM enrichment to keep records current.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of pre-sales experience in the computer networking or security space.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Based in Singapore, with overnight travel throughout the region as needed.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of web proxy technologies, network security, and network engineering fundamentals (OSI model, IPv4/6, routing, switching, DNS, VLANs/subnetting).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to explain business value and technical advantages.
• Strong accountability, proactive ownership, and a passion for continuous learning.
