Sales Engineer - Mumbai

Overview

Sales Engineer – Mumbai drives sales growth for HACH brand products in the Municipal segment within the Mumbai region, reporting to the Sales Director.

What you'll do

• Achieve monthly sales targets by managing the sales funnel, converting leads to orders, and tracking bookings and shipments.
• Identify and develop new business across government departments, municipal corporations, PHEDs, water boards, and consulting firms.
• Build relationships with EPCs, contractors, system integrators, and project consultants to track projects at DPR stages.
• Manage CRM funnel progression in SFDC, prepare proposals, track tender bids, and negotiate quotes to close sales.
• Monitor government tenders (RFPs/RFQs) and lead preparation of competitive proposals for water quality measurement analyzer solutions.
• Provide technical training and support to distributors, government officials, and EPC O&M teams.

What you'll need

• Engineering Graduate / Post Graduate in Science or Business Management.
• Minimum 4–7 years of direct sales and business development experience.
• Experience preferably in water treatment, water quality monitoring, environmental solutions, or instrumentation in government/public infrastructure sectors.
• In-depth understanding of the Indian water sector and municipal organizations.
• Knowledge of water treatment and analytical instrumentation, including chemical, biological, and physical water analysis.
• Willingness to relocate based on business needs.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
