MS Engineer, SAN L1

Overview

Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L1) is the first point of contact to keep client IT infrastructure and systems operational by handling standard/low-complexity incidents and service requests.

What you'll do

• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to identify problems and errors before or as they occur.
• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems with first-line support.
• Provide client support via telephone, ITSM tickets, or chat for assigned first-line incidents.
• Perform maintenance activities including patching and configuration changes.
• Work across two or more technology domains such as Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, or Collaboration.
• Contribute to disaster recovery functions and tests and ensure smooth service continuity during handovers.
• Report, escalate, and strive for efficient and comprehensive resolutions of incidents and requests.

What you'll need

• Entry-level experience troubleshooting and supporting security, network, data center, systems, or storage in a medium to large ICT organization.
• Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and ITIL processes.
• Discipline in handling tickets day-to-day and acting promptly as per defined SOPs.
• Good understanding of using ITSM tools.
• Ability to plan activities/projects in advance and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Client-centric approach and communication across different cultures and social groups.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing (or equivalent work experience).
