Senior Engineering Consultant for Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) at Veritas (an Oliver Wyman business).
What you'll do
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to solve energy trading and commodity business and technology challenges.
- Deliver scalable solutions across trading, risk, operations, data, and technology.
- Support complex ETRM implementation, upgrade, integration, migration, and optimization programs.
- Help design and build integration and data architectures using APIs, messaging, and data pipelines.
- Contribute to workshops and organize complex problems into clear plans of action.
- Work on modern cloud-native solutions around ETRM platforms, including microservices and CI/CD.
What you'll need
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in the ETRM landscape.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields including business management, IT, computer science, technology, engineering, or finance (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong consulting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of end-to-end energy and commodity trading lifecycle across front, middle, and back office.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across applications, data, interfaces, and reporting.
- Hands-on engineering capability in Java, C#, Python, or similar languages, plus SQL and relational database fundamentals.
