What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation solutions using Python, VBA, XML, Power Query, and other technologies.
• Read, understand, troubleshoot, and modify code used in existing tax tools and third-party applications.
• Analyze tax operations processes to identify automation, standardization, and efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement technical solutions that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and strengthen controls.
• Support administration, configuration, and maintenance of tax-related systems, workflows, and tools.
• Perform root cause analysis on process issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Create and maintain technical and process documentation for automation solutions and procedures.

What you'll need

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Finance, Taxation, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python programming.
• Experience working with XML structures, transformations, and validations.
• Advanced VBA development skills, including automation and Excel-based solutions.
• Ability to read, understand, troubleshoot, and enhance code developed by others.
• Ability to understand and learn proprietary/tool-specific scripting or coding languages used in third-party applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
