Operations Risk and Regulatory Oversight - Associate - Product Support & Services

Overview

Associate role in Investment Management Operations focused on managing risk profile, regulatory oversight, and post-execution transaction support for Global MSIM Operations teams.

What you'll do

• Execute complex processes and support a Team Manager by coordinating processes, risks, and/or projects.
• Identify and analyze risk in day-to-day processes and propose process changes.
• Train others, allocate tasks, and perform first-line escalation when required.
• Provide risk monitoring and reporting for MSIM Operations teams and in-scope UK CASS legal entities.
• Support vendor governance processes, including service due diligence onboarding lifecycle.
• Conduct periodic functional risk assessments and report to senior stakeholders through metrics data collation and meetings.
• Drive risk program and initiatives globally and regionally.

What you'll need

• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of operational/compliance policies and procedures in the functional area.
• Ability to operate independently for some job responsibilities.
• Basic knowledge of a mutual funds business.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for managing senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge/build/usage of user-led automation tools is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience of regulatory governance and knowledge of UK CASS rules.
• Experience assessing root causes of risk incidents and/or implementing control enhancements.
