Payments Sales Engineer

Overview

Payments Sales Engineer supporting the sales team and prospective merchants with payments expertise, onboarding, and implementation guidance.

What you'll do

• Provide payments industry subject-matter expertise to support sales teams.
• Collaborate with product development teams to meet market needs and compliance requirements.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the payments space.
• Train and support sales teams on payment products and industry trends.
• Engage clients and partners to understand payment needs and tailor solutions.
• Support implementation and configuration of each merchant with stakeholders and vendors.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of sales experience in the payments industry.
• Embedded payment processing knowledge, including card-present and card-not-present.
• Knowledge of payment processing systems, gateways, APIs, and software integration.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to translate market insights into sales strategies.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to payments.
