Payroll Specialist

Overview

Payroll Specialist responsible for Germany payroll administration across in-house and external payroll platforms. The role includes statutory compliance, monthly approvals, reporting, and audit support for an EMEA payroll team.

What you'll do

• Handle day-to-day payroll administration across in-house, managed service, and outsourced platforms.
• Ensure statutory and business compliance by investigating and correcting payroll errors.
• Perform monthly payroll approvals and prepare documentation for monthly funding approvals by the HR Operations Manager.
• Submit statutory reports and run payroll payments, including statistics and year-end tasks.
• Support internal and external audits and complete documentation as directed.
• Manage payroll-related compensation and benefits topics (including Ex-Pats, share plans, and stock options).
• Collaborate with external payroll vendors and service partners for payroll activities.

What you'll need

• Experience in payroll administration in Germany.
• Fluent German skills and good English skills (written and spoken).
• In-house payroll processing experience.
• Structured, careful working style with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work reliably and precisely under time pressure.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Workday and ADP is preferred.
