People AI & Automation Engineer

Overview

People AI & Automation Engineer to help build next-generation People Operations systems using AI-powered workflows, agents, and automation. You’ll collaborate with the People team and engineering/IT to create scalable, secure solutions on top of existing tools.

What you'll do

• Partner with the People & Talent team to identify AI and automation opportunities in People Operations.
• Build scalable, AI-first onboarding experiences.
• Automate manual People workflows using AI-powered systems.
• Develop AI agents/workflows that answer questions and complete defined actions.
• Integrate AI systems with existing HR and internal tools (including HRIS and Slack).
• Prototype with real users and iterate based on results.
• Define human-in-the-loop controls, escalation paths, permissions, and safeguards for sensitive workflows.

What you'll need

• Experience with building AI-powered workflows and systems (implied by the hands-on role responsibilities).
• Ability to integrate AI systems with HRIS and communication tools like Slack (explicitly listed as integrations).
