People Ops Intern

Overview

Prodigal is hiring a People Ops Intern to support employee lifecycle activities, people operations, employee engagement, and payroll support.

What you'll do

• Support employee lifecycle through onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Coordinate background verification and joining formalities.
• Partner with DevOps and Finance to make sure systems and access are sorted from day 1.
• Maintain and update employee information, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Assist in preparing HR letters, employment documents, and other employee-related documentation.
• Spot friction or gaps in how things run today and pitch practical fixes.
• Explore and apply AI tools to improve HR processes efficiency.
• Assist in employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and HR events.
• Own the logistics behind the weekly Friday team rituals.
• Design and run team bonding activities.
• Support payroll administration and review employee reimbursement submissions against the travel and expense policy.

Nice to have

• Prior exposure to HR, operations, or admin work.
