Overview

Performance Benchmark– Server Platform Engineer to (Senior) Staff Engineer for Qualcomm’s Platform Performance Team, focusing on ARMv9 server-class CPU performance across cloud and enterprise platforms.

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end benchmarking, regression tracking, and system-level performance analysis.
• Execute and analyze SPEC CPU, SPECrate, SPECjbb, and other cloud/microservice workloads.
• Characterize CPU, cache, memory, NUMA, and I/O behavior on ARMv9 server platforms.
• Debug regressions by using PMU counters, profiling tools, and system traces.
• Define KPIs and automate performance regression detection in CI/CD environments.
• Tune Linux kernel parameters and evaluate compiler flags/toolchains for performance impact.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent degree options stated).
• Have 3+ years of experience in performance engineering, system software, or related roles.
• Be proficient in Python and Bash for automation and data analysis.
• Have working knowledge of C/C++ in performance-critical environments.
• Have hands-on experience running and analyzing SPEC CPU, SPECrate, and SPECjbb.
• Have familiarity with performance tools such as perf, VTune, or equivalent.
• Have Linux performance tuning and basic statistical analysis experience.
