Pitch Bearing Lead Design Engineer

Overview

Lead mechanical design and engineering activities across multiple pitch bearing programs, covering new product development, validation, lifecycle cost, fleet support, and complex cross-program problem solving.

What you'll do

• Lead pitch bearing design, development, and FE analysis across multiple programs.
• Develop execution plans for complex, multi-program deliverables.
• Lead design support for NPI, quality, validation, lifecycle cost, and fleet initiatives.
• Guide cross-functional teams on rotor and turbine lifecycle cost decisions.
• Drive technology introduction, redesign, productivity, and cost-out initiatives.
• Apply GD&T standards and review technical drawings and specifications.
• Lead testing, risk mitigation, and resolution of design and field issues.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or a similar engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with GD&T and technical drawing guidelines.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex cross-program problems independently.
• Project management skills for complex, multi-program deliverables.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a global, cross-matrixed organization.

Nice to have

• Extensive pitch bearing engineering experience.
• FEA experience.
• Structural or mechanical systems design experience.
• Knowledge of wind turbine component design and systems integration.
• Experience mentoring engineers.
