Plant Manager

Overview

Lead the efficient, safe, and environmentally correct operation and growth of the Sika Lyndhurst, NJ manufacturing facility.

What you'll do

• Achieve annual safety goals by enforcing safety rules and procedures.
• Drive annual quality and delivery goals tied to product quality demands.
• Solve problems and apply error-proofing and mentoring.
• Map processes to streamline production by eliminating non-value-added activities.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, and quality on capital planning, preventive maintenance, and problem solving.
• Apply continuous improvement concepts including statistical process control and lean manufacturing.
• Manage budgets by attaining annual expense goals and executing the annual capital budget.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10 years manufacturing management experience.
• Experience managing union production personnel.
• Strong capability to select, train, and develop professional staff.
• Ability to train plant associates to operate equipment and meet customer order demand.
• Comprehensive knowledge of continuous improvement, statistical process control, and lean manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering, plus conceptual understanding of chemical and/or electrical engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal/leadership skills.
