Platform Engineer - SAP Basis

Overview

Platform Engineer - SAP Basis is responsible for administering and governing complex SAP landscapes, including RISE with SAP operations and Basis activities across S/4HANA, HANA, BW/4HANA, and SAP CAR.

What you'll do

• Lead administration, monitoring, maintenance, and technical governance of SAP landscapes across production and non-production.
• Manage SAP systems hosted under RISE with SAP, coordinating incidents, service requests, maintenance, and infrastructure changes.
• Own Basis activities for S/4HANA environments including health monitoring, HANA administration, performance analysis, and technical troubleshooting.
• Provide Basis and platform support for BW/4HANA and SAP CAR, covering performance, batch processing, and connectivity.
• Administer and troubleshoot SAP SLT configurations and replication connectivity/health.
• Plan and execute SAP upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and maintenance cycles with testing/rollback.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP and SaaS services.
• Extensive experience managing and working with managed services.
• Experience managing implementation, enhancement, upgrade, and support of large ERP applications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and system optimization.
• Strong understanding of automation, auditability, and availability in cloud and on-premises solutions.
