Platform Engineer (SAP Basis Hana)

Overview

Platform Engineer (SAP Basis & SAP HANA) supporting a critical SAP Core Banking platform within Retail Technology.

What you'll do

• Provide operational support and administration for SAP Basis and SAP HANA across Production and Non-Production environments.
• Perform SAP HANA administration and optimization tasks including upgrades and replication monitoring.
• Participate in SAP upgrade, migration, and platform lifecycle management with required compliance.
• Deliver L2/L3 production support by managing incidents, problems, changes, and releases.
• Support SAP workloads hosted on AWS and build knowledge of services such as EC2, EBS, EFS, FSx, and BACKINT.
• Contribute to automation and DevOps using Ansible, Terraform, and GitHub, improving standardization and efficiency.
• Improve observability through monitoring, alerting, dashboards, reporting, and process optimization.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience in enterprise SAP environments.
• Exposure to SAP HANA administration and support.
• Experience supporting SAP Production systems.
• Working knowledge of SAP Basis Administration, SAP HANA on Linux (RHEL or SUSE), and high availability concepts.
• Experience with backup & recovery and SAP upgrades/maintenance.
• Experience participating in Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
