Overview

Senior PMO resource responsible for end-to-end delivery, project governance, day-to-day project services and reporting. The role supports business transformation initiatives and requires ownership, governance and stakeholder alignment rather than reporting-only PMO coordination.

What you'll do

  • Manage the full program lifecycle from planning through execution and closure.
  • Define and drive governance, executive dashboards, and risk and issue tracking.
  • Support large-scale banking transformation initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate data in all sources and ensure reporting reflects the latest status for key Features and Capabilities.
  • Plan resources, track budgets and manage forecasts.
  • Assess and manage change requests and impacts.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across business and IT.
  • Support the successful delivery of VS outcomes in line with agreed delivery plans.
  • Drive inputs and outputs for Programme Increment (PI) Planning and synthesize QBR memo updates.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for key VS/SVS ceremonies.
  • Design and manage delivery dashboards to visualize the flow of Capabilities and Features from Idea to Done and support decision-making.
  • Act as guardian of change governance and provide oversight across Global and markets.
  • Facilitate change control around investment planning, scope, OKRs and Features/Capabilities.
  • Ensure the delivery pipeline is connected with financials and remains within capacity.
  • Collect thematic learnings from retrospectives to ensure cross implementation from a VS perspective.
  • Monitor and control VS investment allocation and benefit projection, ensuring they are captured in standard tooling.
  • Manage financial guardrails, ensure controls are in place and track variances.
  • Manage resource capacity pattern.
  • Monitor and control VS and SVS Commercialization tracking.
  • Provide a holistic view of VS/SVS financial performance and ensure alignment with defined portfolio strategy, customer and business outcomes and OKRs.
  • Manage risks and issues through appropriate tracking and involve key members of the VS/SVS team as appropriate.
  • Maintain continuous improvement plans to support the new Ways of Operating.
  • Act as Change leader or SME for new business initiatives, strategy changes and tooling migrations.
  • Ensure compliance with HSBC Change Framework, FIM, SAFE and AGILE.

What you'll need

  • 8+ years of experience.
  • Strong governance experience.
  • Proven delivery ownership, not just coordination.
  • Experience handling multiple stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Risk & Issue Management.
  • Expertise in Executive Reporting.
  • Expertise in Project Planning.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Experience with Confluence.
  • HSBC Change Framework, Group Tools such as Clarity / Jira / Confluence / GPDM.
  • Ability to own delivery end-to-end.
  • Ability to translate program outcomes into business value.
  • Strong governance mindset, specifically SVS PMO rather than basic PMO.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Clarity.
  • Banking / Financial Services experience.
